The Person Behind Our Business Name

How Our Story Meets Yours

Jess Thornberry, COO of Brooke Credentialing, Claims, and Coding, has nearly a decade of experience in billing, claims, and credentialing. When the private practice she worked for was suddenly sold, Jess stepped in to help her colleagues launch their own clinics, until her husband, Brian — now the CEO of Brook Credentialing, Claims, and Coding — encouraged her to build something bigger.

It wasn’t until 2020 that the profound loss of their daughter, Brooke, that Jess truly shaped the company’s purpose.

She found solace in therapy, and began to recognize the shared struggle of constant battles with insurance, the overwhelming admin work, and the fear of closing doors. She saw compassionate providers pushed out by profit-driven systems.

It reminded her of her own loss, and this became her way of fighting back.

Her motivation was a fierce desire to empower these healers. Jess felt a flicker of Brooke’s. In every successful claim, every provider she helped, Jess felt a flicker of Brooke’s spirit, a sense that her daughter’s name was now intertwined with healing and hope.

It often involves time-based CPT codes, authorization requirements, session limits, and unique documentation standards. Accurate coding and payor-specific knowledge are essential to ensure clean claims and timely reimbursement.

Absolutely. We verify benefits and secure any needed pre-approvals before your clients receive care, so they know exactly how much it costs.

Yes, we have in-depth knowledge of Medicaid policies and billing guidelines, managing credentialing, claims submission, and follow-up for both Medicaid and private payors to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.

We’ll ensure a smooth transition from your previous billing company by securely transferring your data, managing insurance follow-ups, and handling claims, so your practice continues running without interruption.

Do you support out-of-network/out-of-pocket billing?
